Retrofitting remains a serious gap in the reconstruction for all of us. As of 17 June 2019, NRA has identified 66,664 retrofitting beneficiaries and despite the efforts by the Government, Donors and Partner Organisations (POs), the progress on retrofitting as well as the tranche disbursement remains slow. To boost our efforts in retrofitting, CLPIU Building is organising an experience sharing session on retrofitting activities being carried out by partner organisations.
In this context, the partners Cord, NSET, UNDP and UNOPS/Build Change will share their experiences through a short presentation, followed by discussion and interaction. Other partners with retrofitting experience are also invited to present. If you would like to do so please contact Bhubaneswari Parajuli (techcord.national@hrrpnepal.org ) for further details as soon as possible, and at the latest 20 June, 2019 (Thursday, COB).
This sharing session is part of a series of efforts by NRA and CLPIU to provide further guidance to stakeholders to address retrofitting. Information on related upcoming events will be shared after this event.
