Transborder freight between the U.S. and other North American countries (Canada and Mexico) in April 2019:
Truck Freight: $65.1 billion (62.3% of all transborder freight)
U.S.-Canada: $28.8 billion (55.5% of all northern border freight) U.S.-Mexico: $36.3 billion (68.9% of all southern border freight)
U.S.-Canada down 3.3% U.S.-Mexico up 1.0%
Rail Freight: $15.6 billion (14.9% of all transborder freight)
U.S.-Canada: $8.5 billion (16.3% of all northern border freight) U.S.-Mexico: $7.1 billion (13.6% of all southern border freight)
U.S.-Canada down 3.8% U.S.-Mexico up 21.5%
Total Transborder Freight by Mode:
