Dear Aaaaaaa,

It's happening right now: Rabbits are being killed so that their fur can be turned into a bit of trim on clothing or "pet" toys. Frightened dogs are snatched up, bludgeoned to death, and stripped of their skin to make leather gloves or other vile items. Angora goats are dying by the tens of thousands after being abused and roughly sheared—all for the mohair in a sweater or a ball of yarn.

If we're to stop the suffering of these animals, every moment countsand we're running out of time for you to do twice as much to help.

The deadline for PETA's "Save Our Skins" Matching-Gift Challenge is just hours away. A group of dedicated PETA friends has created a fund that will match any contribution you make dollar for dollar—up to $250,000. But their offer expires at midnight, and we need every penny of their special matching donation to ensure that we can help as many animals as possible.

One hundred percent of your gift will be used to support PETA's vital work against the cruel global skins trade—from our hard-hitting exposés that reveal the horrific suffering on fur farms and in slaughterhouses to our headline-grabbing campaigns that target the companies behind the ghastly items made from the fur, feathers, and skins of abused animals.

Please, don't let another coyote be killed for a fur-trimmed hood or another dog be slaughtered for a pair of leather gloves. You can do something to stop the cruelty—and make twice the impact, if you act today!

Aaaaaaa if you know that there's nothing fashionable about suffering, I hope you'll join more than 22,000 PETA supporters taking on the cruel fashion industry and make a gift before midnight tonight.

Kind regards,

Ingrid E. Newkirk
President
