Dec. 29, 2021 Ghislaine Maxwell convicted of trafficking girls for abuse by Jeffrey Epstein Ghislaine Maxwell, the former girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein, was found guilty of five out of six charges that she trafficked young girls for the financier to abuse sexually. Maxwell, 59, faces a potentially lengthy prison term after a trial at which four women testified that the onetime British socialite groomed and recruited them as teenagers to meet with Epstein, who then abused them.
