They Want to Exploit Django the Monkey in Stressful, Dangerous Public Display

Carting monkeys around to events and subjecting them to a constant barrage of strange noises and disruptive activity while humans touch them is anything but merry—it's a subtly disguised spectacle of animal abuse. The organizers of the "Dickens of a Christmas" event in Maryland plan to exploit Django on December 8 and 9, despite knowing that public displays are not only stressful to animals but also dangerous to the public.

PETA Rescues Turkeys From Slaughterhouse Days Before Thanksgiving

Days before the worst time in the U.S. for turkeys, PETA, Oscar-nominated actor and animal rights activist James Cromwell, and the group Direct Action Everywhere arranged for the rescue of 100 gentle turkeys who'd been imprisoned on a farm in Utah, preventing them from being sent to a slaughterhouse, where their throats would have been slit.

Dogs in Cramped Cages, Impregnated, Abused, and Sick, With Injuries Often Left Untreated

Female dogs are bought, sold, and manipulated as though they were goods rather than sentient beings. They receive hardly any affection, suffer from illnesses and injuries, and are otherwise badly neglected. Their puppies are sold, given away, or abandoned. This is a crisis in our Latino communities—so please join PETA Latino in an effort to stop the breeding of dogs in order to help end animal homelessness.

Dolce & Gabbana: An Item Made From Dead Rabbits Is Not 'Luxury'—It's Cruelty

Hundreds of rabbits are killed by the hour in the Orylag fur trade for "luxury" trinkets and trim. They spend their entire lives in decrepit, cramped cages, to which they're confined in darkness for months, and they suffer from dehydration, malnutrition, and various injuries. Please ask Dolce & Gabbana to stop selling all fur.

Meet the Dogs Kept in Cages So Their Blood Could Be Repeatedly Drained and Sold

A PETA eyewitness investigation revealed that the canine blood bank Hemopet keeps around 200 dogs inside tiny crates and barren, rusty kennels for about 23 hours every day. These greyhounds—who, like all dogs, are eager to run and play and long for companionship—are reduced to being bled for cash.
