Dear Aaaaaaa,

A coyote, trembling in fear and caught in a steel trap, is killed for a fur collar on a Canada Goose coat. A rabbit screams as her soft fur is torn out by the handful for an angora sweater. A dog in a Chinese slaughterhouse cries out as she's bludgeoned before the skin is stripped from her body for a pair of gloves.

Any item made from an animal's skin represents intense suffering. Today, you have the chance to do twice as much to prevent it. Please help us stop such cruelty by donating to the "Save Our Skins" Matching-Gift Challenge. A group of dedicated PETA friends will match any contribution that you make before June 30—up to our $250,000 goal!

Your gift will power our efforts to help the millions of animals who are suffering for their skins, fur, and feathers—including the countless foxes, minks, rabbits, and other animals on fur farms. On these massive farms, frightened animals shiver outside in filthy wire cages, denied everything that is natural and important to them. Fur farmers use the cheapest and cruelest methods available to kill them, including suffocation and anal electrocution.

They are then skinned, sometimes while still conscious. When the fur is finally peeled off over their heads, their skinless, bloody bodies are thrown onto a pile.

At Chinese live-animal markets, cats and dogs are the victims. They arrive, terrified, in crowded cages on the backs of trucks and then are bludgeoned, hanged, and bled to death so that their fur can be turned into trim and trinkets.

PETA is exposing—and stopping—the cruelty behind every fur-trimmed jacket, leather belt, and wool sweater. Even longtime opponents are now reading the writing on the wall. Donatella Versace—whose use of fur we have protested vigorously for years—has finally joined Michael Kors and other previous PETA campaign targets in going totally fur-free.

We've launched a "Save Our Skins" Matching-Gift Challenge to give this work a critical boost. Donate by June 30 and your gift will be matched dollar for dollar until our $250,000 goal is met.

Through this special matching-gift challenge, 100 percent of your gift will go to PETA's groundbreaking work to reduce and ultimately stop cruelty to animals used in the clothing industry.

The only skin people should wear is their own! I hope you'll support this critically important campaign today.

Very truly yours,

Ingrid E. Newkirk
President
