Eventually, it was home to a family of six—including two grandchildren. But after many seasons of rain and flooding, she feared the structure was on the verge of collapsing.

Because of donors like you, Ching Saing U Marma was able to build a new house through a program supported by Catholic Relief Services. Can you imagine the pride she feels—especially as a grandparent? She can now rest assured that the people she loves sleep in safety.

Just next door in Nepal, Tulki Parjuli sets foot into a newly-built and earthquake-resistant home. Her house and most of the houses in her village were destroyed when an earthquake struck back in 2015.

In 2024, we want to help families have safe shelter—solid homes to withstand disasters and worry-free nights knowing that the generations after them will sleep soundly.

In places like Bangladesh and Nepal, countries prone to disasters, one destroyed house can mean a destroyed home for three generations of a family. Thankfully, for three generations—the past 80 years—gifts like yours have been keeping families safe. Together, our faith knows no bounds.
