Donald Trump will stay on California GOP presidential primary ballot The former president will be on California's March 5 primary ballot, despite calls from some officials to disqualify him because of the Jan. 6 insurrection. The decision from the office of Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber — a Democrat who oversees elections in the state — came after some state officials had called for Trump's name to be removed from the ballot amid similar moves in Colorado and Maine. Read more
