A new PETA exposé reveals that donkeys and mules are still being used as taxis to carry tourists up and down more than 500 steps several times a day on the Greek island of Santorini. When there were no customers, most donkeys and mules were left to stand in the scorching sun and tethered so tightly that they were unable to reach the sole bucket of water available to them.  Crows, owls, and other birds are being killed in laboratory experiments right now. It's not only cruel, it's also bad science.  PETA has reviewed vegan options at over 1,400 colleges and universities, and we're happy to report that dining services are increasingly adding more animal-friendly choices nationwide.
