Register for ‘Locking ’Em Up, Closing ’Em Down & Pushing Boundaries: PETA’s Legal Work for Animals’

Dear Aaaaaaa,

Whether it’s a terrified tiger cub, a miserable monkey, or any other animal facing exploitation and abuse because of human ignorance or arrogance, PETA’s legal team is often their best hope.

Please join us on Thursday, April 8, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT for a special virtual event that will dramatically illustrate how PETA is working to create a world in which animals aren’t denied their fundamental rights—and is protecting the rights of those who stand up to the industries that harm animals.

You’ll hear uplifting news about our innovative legal work and ambitious plans from PETA Foundation Senior Vice President and General Counsel Jeff Kerr, meet PETA Foundation Deputy General Counsel for Captive Animal Law Enforcement Brittany Peet (who appeared in Tiger King), and hear from our other legal warriors for animals. PETA President Ingrid Newkirk will have a few words to say as well.

The PETA Foundation’s Philip J. Hirschkop Legal Department is named after the man who successfully challenged Virginia’s law barring interracial marriage and dealt a major blow to segregation (as portrayed in the film Loving) and who has been the legal brain behind many of PETA’s victories. Its work is a critical part of PETA’s mission, and you’ll feel hopeful as you hear from those here at PETA who are driven 24/7 to shut down animal prisons, rescue victims of abusers, and chip steadily away at the legal edifice of animal oppression.

Register Now

If you have questions about the event, please contact Cristina Juarez at CristinaJ@petaf.org or 323-210-2261.

PETA has already set many legal precedents to help animals, but wait until you hear what’s coming up in the near future!

Please join us on April 8.
