You're invited to a PETA town hall meeting on our five biggest wins for animals in 2018!

Dear Aaaaaaa,

2018 may have just ended, but the impact of all that we accomplished together for animals will be felt for a long time to come.

International outrage generated by last year's PETA exposé of horrific South African angora goat farms helped persuade more than 340 brands to ban mohair. And longtime designer holdouts like Michael Kors and Donatella Versace finally dropped fur from their lines. In 2018, we saved hundreds of dogs by persuading the Japanese and South Korean governments to stop requiring a deadly pesticide poisoning test, pushed even more circuses to go animal-free, provided over 11,600 animals with free and low-cost spay/neuter surgeries, and helped make healthy vegan eating more popular than ever before—and that's only scratching the surface.

Every day, PETA is informing millions about the importance of animal rights—and making the world a more compassionate place as a result. Now's your chance to discover which of our biggest wins for animals in 2018 will be shaping our vital work in the year ahead.

Please join PETA President Ingrid Newkirk, Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman, Vice President of Marketing Joel Bartlett, and me on Wednesday, January 23, at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST for our first town hall meeting of the year. Together, we'll share five powerful ways PETA is making a difference for animals with your help—and the many challenges that animals will face in 2019.

We encourage you to join us online, as we'll be sharing compelling images from some of the many victories for animals that we won together. To participate in the webinar, simply log on to PETA.org/JanuaryTownHall at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST on January 23, and you'll be able to watch the presentation through your web browser and submit your questions online. We'll send you a reminder e-mail shortly before the meeting begins.

I'm sure that you'll leave this special PETA town hall meeting inspired by all that we're accomplishing together—and with a new determination to help us achieve even more in 2019.

I hope you'll join us on the 23rd!

Kind regards,

Colleen O'Brien
Vice President of Communications
