Mike Bonin recall drive has failed to turn in enough valid signatures, officials say

Organizers of a bid to remove Los Angeles City Councilman Mike Bonin from office have failed to secure enough valid signatures to trigger a recall election, city officials said Tuesday. City Clerk Holly Wolcott said the Bonin recall group fell about 1,350 valid signatures short of the number needed. Recall proponents have 30 days to challenge the city on any denied signatures.
