Joint Training: Safety at Sea
Nov. 29, 2021 | By Defense.gov

Soldiers and airmen recently conducted hoist operations from the Army utility landing craft Fort McHenry.

Members of the 31st and 33rd rescue squadrons based at Kadena Air Base, Japan, participated in the exercise to increase interoperability at sea when faced with a lifesaving situation.

All pararescuemen are qualified experts in advanced weapons, small unit tactics, military free fall, combat diving and battlefield trauma care. Their motto, "These things we do that others may live," encompasses willingness to go into any situation at any time to provide lifesaving expertise.
