Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks Travels to California
Feb. 29, 2024

Attributable to Pentagon Spokesman Eric Pahon:

Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks departs on domestic travel on Sunday, March 3, to visit Camp Pendleton and Fort Irwin, California.

At Camp Pendleton, she will meet with service members to better understand the challenges and opportunities they experience as part of their military service.

At both locations, the Deputy Secretary will interact with warfighters to see Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) in action via the Project Convergence Capstone 4.

Viewing this experimentation will enable Deputy Secretary Hicks to gain a better understanding of the challenges that impact JADC2 implementation across the joint force and the outcomes of experimentation exercises.
