| Housing Reconstruction Timeline
4th Anniversary Update | | Dear Partners,
HRRP would like to express a sincere gratitude to all of you for your tireless effort in working towards the recovery and reconstruction of Nepal after the devastating earthquake of 2015 which took almost 9000 lives and affected around 8 million people.
As we enter in the 5th year of the earthquake response, the affected communities have received remarkable support in the housing reconstruction through the socio-technical assistance from many of you. Here is the quick snapshot of the socio-technical assistance provided in the field so far.
 | | We are very pleased to share the latest update to the housing reconstruction timeline: 'The Path to Housing Recovery' to mark the fourth year of the Gorkha Earthquake. The timeline presents key points so far in the housing recovery, as well as including a pre-earthquake section in an attempt to highlight the decades of work on earthquake preparedness and response in Nepal which preceded 25 April 2015.
It is hoped that this timeline has already contributed to, and will continue increased awareness and understanding of the huge number of policies, procedures, and guidelines that have been developed for the recovery process. The timeline also highlights the winter and monsoon seasons to emphasize the impact that they have on construction seasons.
