Heatstroke is one of the leading causes of non-crash, vehicle-related deaths for children. Sadly, 969 children have died from heatstroke in a hot car since 1998. This tragedy is 100% preventable. Communication and marketing material featuring the call to action are now available at TrafficSafetyMarketing.gov, but should not be referenced or used until the campaign kicks off on May 1.
