Dear Aaaaaaa, Don’t look now, but it’s my birthday—again! Where did that year go? All I know is that we got lots and lots done in the past year. And as you know, stopping harm to animals means everything to me. That’s why I’m happy to announce that for my birthday this year, I’d like us all to give a big boost to PETA’s worldwide work to rescue animals who would otherwise have no hope, through our wonderful Global Compassion Fund (GCF). This unique program helps animals trapped by earthquakes and volcanic explosions … mitigates the companion animal overpopulation crisis in impoverished regions of Romania … allows for spay-a-thons in the Philippines, where homeless families live with their cats and dogs … funds the only veterinary clinic for dear donkeys working in the “Lost City” of Petra, Jordan … pays for treatment for mange-wracked dogs suffering in Mexican villages … and much, much more. Please don’t miss my virtual birthday celebration—join me on Thursday, June 3, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The event will inspire you with details about the GCF’s lifesaving work for dogs and cats, working animals, and wild animals (from civet cats to elephants) around the globe and, at the same time, prompting so many people to be more compassionate toward animals. Reserving your spot for this virtual event is easy, and everyone who makes a donation to attend will receive a unique handmade gift from one of our overseas programs as a modest thank-you for your support of this global work. In addition, one supporter at each gift level will win a fabulous prize package that includes a selection of special treats and supplies for companion animals, travel bonuses, and other exciting perks. |
