On March 17, the ETAs began their month-long in-country orientation, including intensive Nepali language classes and a series of informative sessions on Nepal's culture, history, educational system, and other subjects to equip them with the basic knowledge required to begin their assignments on April 15 at schools in and around Kathmandu Valley. |

On March 28, USEF-N hosted an information session at its auditorium to provide insights into the currently open Master's program in the United States. Attendees were afforded the opportunity to delve into the program specifics, gain firsthand experience through an application walk-through, and receive personalized responses to all their questions. |

To mark Women's History Month, the EducationUSA Nepal Center organized a talk program titled "Women in Science and Technology". Guest speakers included Dr. Babita Paudel, Founder and Research Director/Head at the Center for Natural and Applied Sciences in Kathmandu, and Ms. Eva Gyawali, President of Karkana Samuha. They discussed the programs they studied and the transformative journeys that propelled them toward careers in science and technology. Additionally, they shared invaluable insights from their experiences in the field, along with their ongoing research efforts to inspire and empower students to follow their passions and their dreams. |

Nepal Association of Humphrey Fellows Talk Series |

On March 11, the Nepal Association of Humphrey Fellows (NAHF) continued its talk series with a program titled "Economic Reconstruction of Nepal: Challenges and Way Forward" hosted at SAIM College. Speakers featured at the event included former Finance Minister and Fulbright alumnus Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani (1998, The University of Maryland, College Park) and Ms. Sneh Rajbhandari, Head of Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability at Coca-Cola Beverages Nepal. |

Fulbright alumnus Dr. Biraj Man Karmacharya received the prestigious 2024 Alumni Impact Award from the University of Washington School of Public Health. Dr. Karmacharya, under the Fulbright Science and Technology Program, pursued a PhD in Epidemiology at the university and will deliver the convocation address at the school's graduation ceremony in June. |

During March 15-31, current Fulbright Student Researcher Maria Bossert's project, conducted in collaboration with the Tharu Cultural Museum and Research Center, Chitwan, was showcased at the Patan Museum. Titled "Daule Daule", the mixed-media exhibition featured pictures and quotes from interviews Maria conducted during her Fulbright fieldwork, offering visitors rich insights into Tharu culture, wisdom, and lifestyle. |

PATA International Conference on Women in Travel |

During March 20-22, Humphrey Program alumna Shradha Shrestha (2021, Michigan State University) participated at the prestigious PATA International Conference on Women in Travel hosted at Bohol, Philippines. During the conference, Ms. Shrestha discussed the impactful role of women in connecting communities and leveraging tourism to dismantle barriers, defy stereotypes, and foster a more equitable, sustainable, and culturally vibrant world. |
