The perfect lazy — but delicious — weeknight pasta dinner
I usually don't eat pasta during the week. But when I am in the mood for it, I tend to make some variation of this broccoli rabe and sausage meal. It's very low effort — after briefly blanching the vegetables in salted boiling water, you swap in the pasta to cook, and that's essentially all you need to do on the stove.
As for the ready-to-eat sausage, I just chop it up, toss the pieces together with the other ingredients, and let the residual heat warm up the meat. But if you want to avoid the processed stuff, any ground meat would work well here — just be sure to cook it first, of course!
Also, I don't know who needs to hear this, but you should always have a container of panko breadcrumbs in your cabinet! When toasted, these crunchies are a great topping to almost any meal.
