Don't miss this in-person book club conversation on Oct. 1. Bestselling author Walter Isaacson joins Times columnist Anita Chabria to discuss his latest biography "Elon Musk," an intimate story of the controversial billionaire entrepreneur.
For two years, Walter Isaacson shadowed the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX and, most recently, Twitter (now known as X), and spent hours interviewing the South Africa-born mogul, his family, friends, coworkers and adversaries. The result is "Elon Musk," a revealing inside story filled with tales of triumphs and turmoil.
Isaacson is also the author of biographies of Apple founder Steve Jobs, biochemist Jennifer Doudna, artist Leonardo da Vinci and more. He's currently a history professor at Tulane University and was formerly CEO of the Aspen Institute, chair of CNN and editor of Time magazine. In 2023, he was awarded the National Humanities Medal.
Special offer for Book Club readers: Walter Isaacson will sign copies of "Elon Musk" included with tickets or purchased at the event. Our partner for this event is pages: a bookstore.
