Dear Aaaaaaa,

For more than two decades, PETA India and Animal Rahat—two organizations supported by PETA—have been improving the lives of hundreds of thousands of animals in India. From tiny owlets to giant elephants, wherever an animal is abused, neglected, injured, or abandoned, PETA or a group it supports has been there to come to the rescue.

Groups like PETA India and Animal Rahat ("Rahat" means "relief") are working hard to feed and care for animals during the COVID-19 crisis. While India is on lockdown, these organizations are busier than ever distributing hundreds of pounds of food each day to starving dogs, cats, bullocks, and other animals. Animal Rahat is conducting lifesaving rescues and providing more than 320 rescued and retired animals with permanent, peaceful sanctuary. And PETA India is pursuing groundbreaking legal protections for animals held captive in zoos, exploited for their skin by the fashion industry, and forced to perform hard labor.

These groups' vital work is saving lives and helping entire communities grow kinder to all animals.

Discover how these wonderful organizations are changing lives at a special town hall meeting on Tuesday, May 12, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

PETA President—and Animal Rahat founder—Ingrid Newkirk will be joined by PETA Foundation Director of Captive Animal Law Enforcement Brittany Peet and Vice President of International Affairs Poorva Joshipura for an inspiring and informative conversation about all the vital work for animals that's being done in India thanks to PETA, its affiliates, and other organizations that it supports.

To participate in our town hall meeting online, simply log on to PETA.org/MayTownHall at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on May 12 and you'll be able to watch the presentation right through your web browser. We'll send you a reminder e-mail shortly before the meeting begins.

I know you'll come away from this special town hall meeting feeling exhilarated by all the exciting and innovative work for animals that's being done in India and by the compassionate future that PETA supporters are helping to create for animals.

I hope you'll join us on the 12th!

Kind regards,

Liesel Wolff
