Hurry: Help dogs through Facebook

Dear Aaaaaaa,

Not every dog is as lucky as the beloved companion you may share your life with.

This year, more than 60,000 dogs will suffer in secretive laboratories that most will never escape. They'll be treated like little more than living test tubes—poisoned, burned, cut open, and abused until they are no longer of use to experimenters and are killed.

Other dogs will be forced to run hundreds of miles in subzero temperatures. Those exhausted animals who somehow survive will be kept constantly chained next to dilapidated boxes and plastic barrels in the bitter cold and biting wind.

Dogs will be snatched off the street in China, sold to slaughterhouses, and violently killed so that the skin cut off their bodies can be turned into bits of fur trim or a pair of work gloves.

Every dog—every animal—deserves better than a life of exploitation, cruelty, and misery, whether they share your home, are condemned to a laboratory, are forced to race until they drop, or are abused in any other way. Each has the same love for their families, the same feelings of pain and fear—and like all animals, they need us to do more to stop their suffering.

To help dogs, PETA is launching our first-ever Facebook fundraiser—and we hope you'll join us in making the world a kinder place for dogs. We're ending cruel experiments, cutting off support for dog races and other entertainment using live animals, and persuading designers and retailers to stop using animal skin. But dogs are still suffering.

If 2,500 compassionate people make a gift of $5 or more before midnight on #GivingTuesday (December 3), we'll unlock an additional $25,000 for animals! Will you help us meet our goal?

Kind regards,

Ingrid E. Newkirk
President
