Gavin Newsom of California has enraged Democrats who fear that the politician they considered a liberal prizefighter is turning MAGA-friendly. The governor offered his own blistering critique of his party to explain why he's sitting down with controversial GOP figures now, saying Democrats have to come to grips with the fact they got their "ass kicked" in the last election.
