Dear Aaaaaaa,
For nearly two decades, Animal Rahat—a PETA-supported organization—has been changing the lives of animals in India.
This extraordinary group is rescuing bullocks straining under the weight of overloaded carts, donkeys used in illegal mining operations, dogs trapped deep in abandoned wells, birds hopelessly entangled in kite string, and many, many other animals in desperate need of help.
After years of operating a peaceful sanctuary that today cares for nearly 100 rescued and retired animals, Animal Rahat has now opened a second sanctuary, in a lush mango grove near Delhi where dozens more are already receiving the expert care—and experiencing joy—they’ve been denied for so long.
You’re invited to learn more about all that this wonderful organization is accomplishing for animals at our special town hall meeting on Tuesday, April 27, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
PETA President—and Animal Rahat founder—Ingrid Newkirk will be joined by PETA Supervising Veterinarian of Captive Law Enforcement Dr. Heather Rally for an inspiring conversation about the new sanctuary and all of Animal Rahat’s vital work for animals in India.
To participate in our town hall meeting online, simply log on to PETA.org/AprilTownHall at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on April 27, and you’ll be able to watch the presentation on Zoom.
I hope you’ll join us on the 27th!
Kind regards,
Lisa Lange
