Overview:

BTS Office of Arline Information (OAI) regularly collects and publishes a variety of air travel statistics including airline financial data. For example, BTS reported that total operating revenue for the 25 U.S. scheduled passenger airlines in 2016 was $168.2 billion. Airlines collected $125.2 billion from fares, which is 74.5 percent of total 2016 operating revenue.

During this webinar, Jeff Gorham of OAI will provide a background on airline financial data collection practices, and show customers where they can find the data and how to use it. The webinar will also review recent data and trends in airline financial statistics.
